Nancy P. Whittington Krajewski

b. January 31, 1943

Nancy P. (Whittington) Krajewski, originally of Ellaville, GA, recently passed away. Nancy was born on January 31, 1943, to the late Pauline (Cook) Whittington and Hulon B. Whittington, and grand-daughter of Schley County’s TJ Cook and his wife Forrest (McMickle) Cook. Graveside services will be held at Ellaville City Cemetery on April 29, 2023 at 11:00 am with Rev. Joel Smith officiating.

Nancy was preceded in death by her son Thomas R. Russ, mother, Pauline C. Whittington, father Hulon B. Whittington, and a son-in-law, David T. Muetzel. Nancy, was born and raised in Schley County Georgia, made her home in various places over her lifetime, to include Ohio, Maryland, Alabama, Tennessee, and New Jersey, before she settled in Florida in 1997. She was strong in every sense of the word and had a spirit unlike any other. She was, by all accounts, gifted with an incredible sense of humor and she had an infectious laugh. She loved her family. She loved to dance. She loved her garden. She loved Hallmark movies, reading, cooking, and baking. She rode motorcycles before it was fashionable for women to do so; she once took a road trip from Ohio to Key West on a motorcycle. She loved boating and water skiing and could out-ski the best of them, even on just one water ski. She enjoyed fishing with an old cane pole like the one she used as a child with her grandfather, TJ Cook (no need for fancy poles or rods). Her home was always open to anyone and everyone who needed a place to stay, and if you visited her, you had better bring your appetite She would cook and bake all of your favorite foods and would not take no for an answer, if you said you weren’t hungry. If you needed something, she would do all she could to help you out. She worked as a switchboard operator throughout her career at hospitals in Georgia and Ohio and as a receptionist at automobile dealerships in Florida and Georgia. She had a very strong work ethic. Her coworkers adored her, and they became lifelong friends, remaining close even after her retirement. Nancy was an incredibly amazing and loving person, she was a dedicated mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, and to know her was to love her. She will be missed, deeply, by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by Daughter, LaWanna R. Muetzel; three sons and their spouses; Edward Russ (Kimberly Russ), Tony Russ (Monica Foster), and Randy Russ (Stacey Russ); brother, Randy Whittington and wife (Jackie Whittington); 17 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and she was also an aunt to many nieces and nephews. They all love and miss her beyond measure and she will be lovingly remembered for eternity.
