Patricia Bushong

Ms. Patricia Bushong, 74, of Box Springs, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown Campus.

Ms. Bushong was born in Olympia, WA, on December 24, 1947, to Gordon Fielding and Betty Hicks Calvin. She had a true love and appreciation for life and approached everything with a smile. She loved to learn, travel, and spend time with her family. Her family will miss her stories of backpacking through Europe, teaching English in Japan, and feeling the trade winds of Hawaii. Ms. Bushong had a master’s degree in international finance and Japanese, and was a retired database programmer and teacher of Japanese. She had worked at places such as Frank Russell, Microsoft, and McChord Airforce Base. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Billy Calvin.

She is survived by her son, Jesse Bushong; two daughters, Amy Bushong and Lindsey Bushong, all of Box Springs, GA; by a sister, Sue Lemke of Oregon and her family; and by two grandchildren, Ava and Mackenzie Smith.

Mom, you will be forever loved, and missed until we meet again.
