Mr. Robert Andrew “Mac” McLeod, 81, of Mauk, GA, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Columbus Hospice in Columbus, GA. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, August 29, 2022, at Andersonville National Cemetery.

Mr. McLeod was born December 19, 1940, in Columbus, GA, to John Claud and Eva Madeline Watson McLeod. He served in the United States Navy and National Guard for 12 years and was employed as an Avionics Technician in the Civil Service at Ft. Benning. Mr. McLeod worked on the weekends as a volunteer fire department and Coast Guard Auxiliary in Shell Point, FL in the early 80’s. He was a hard worker and enjoyed farming, fishing, and camping. In his earlier years, he enjoyed horseback riding. Mr. McLeod loved his wife, children, and dogs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold McLeod, Charles McLeod, and Jack McLeod and two sisters, Helen Speakman and Mickey Dahn.

He is survived by his wife, Linda McLeod of Mauk, GA; by a daughter, Connie McLeod Church of Mauk, GA; by a son and daughter-in-law Drew and Rhonda McLeod of Box Springs, GA; by grandchildren, Katlind and Jeff Baker, Megan Church, Madison McLeod, and Kera Church; and by great-grandchildren, Raelynn and Tindley Baker, Gregory, Emma, and Hailey Gooley. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
