Mr. Ronald “Ronnie” Keith Nerger, 48, of Ellaville, passed away peacefully at his residence on July 12, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. The family will greet friends at Way-Watson Funeral Home in Ellaville on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 PM.

Mr. Nerger was born on October 18, 1977, to Keith George and Linda Howard Nerger. Ronnie was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family. Even after being diagnosed with cancer, he faced each day with remarkable strength, determination, and a positive spirit. Above all, Ronnie was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with those he loved. He especially enjoyed playing video games on his computer and gaming consoles with his sons, creating memories they will forever treasure. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, who brought endless happiness to his life.

Ronnie will be remembered for his resilience, kind heart, unwavering love for his family, and the lasting impact he made on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on through the countless lives he touched and the love he shared throughout his life. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Cindy Nerger.

Survivors include his wife, Liz Nerger of New Mexico; his children, Gabriel Nerger and his wife, Shelbie of Ellaville, Katlin Fortier-Martin and her husband, Ashten of Texas, and Dillon Nerger of Germany; two step-children, Robyn Jackson (Dementrious, Sr.) and Hunter Petersdorff, all of New Mexico; his mother, Linda Nerger of Ellaville; a brother, Richard Nicholas Nerger of Elko, GA; six grandchildren, Rowan Fortier-Martin, Ryliee Patton-Nerger, Willow Fortier-Martin, Deanna Nerger, Amber Parsons, and Dementrious Jackson, Jr.; a niece, Faith Nerger and many other cherished family and friends who will miss him dearly.
