Sandra Jean Smith

Mrs. Sandra Jean Smith, 81, of Ellaville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 11:00AM in the chapel of Way-Watson Funeral Home with Bro. Stephen Fripp officiating. 

Mrs. Sandra Jean Smith, better known to her family as "Ma" was born February 22, 1943 in Manchester, GA to Chester and Bernice McDaniel Crook. Ma loved to bake, especially her delicious pound cakes.  She also loved to garden, shop and most importantly, spend time with her family.  She was a devoted wife and mother to her 3 boys.  Later in life, Ma's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy.  She will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.  

Survivors include her husband of 56 years Jeff Smith of Ellaville; three sons, Leonard Peacock and his wife, Lenora of Byron, GA, Guy and his wife, Jessica Ellis Smith of Ellaville, and Greg Smith and his wife, Jessica of Ellaville; six grandchildren, Trey Smith (Brittany), Colt Smith (Kristin), Tucker Smith, Kaitlyn Smith, Athon Hines and Parker Ellis, all of Ellaville; three great-grandchildren, Weston Thomas Smith, Paisley Smith, and Lyla Jean Smith; a brother, Benny Crook (Jeanette) of Reynolds, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
