Susanne Moss Long

Mrs. Susanne “Susie” Long, age 75, of Buena Vista, died Sunday, January 13, 2019, at her residence.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, January17, 2019, at Buena Vista Cemetery with Reverend David Chapman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, from 6:00pm-8:00pm.

Mrs. Long was born to L. K. and Anne McGarrah Moss on May 8, 1943, in Lakeland, GA. Mrs. Long loved Jesus and attended New Providence Baptist Church. She retired from the Marion County School district where she had been employed as a teacher for many years. Mrs. Long loved her family and was a mother to a lot of children in the county. She was such a big hearted person. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Long and her nephew, Clint Long.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Kim Long; and by a daughter, Luanne Long, all of Buena Vista, GA; by a sister-in-law, Gail Long; by two grandchildren, Shelby Long and Luke Long, both of Buena Vista, GA, and by two nephews, Greg Long and Dean Long.
