Theo Florence Benford

Mrs. Theo Florence Benford, 85 of Ellaville, GA passed away on January 25, 2022, at Laurel Lodge Assisted Living in Cleveland, GA. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Way-Watson Funeral Home in Ellaville.

Mrs. Benford was born June 21, 1936, in Bigfoot, Texas to Wiley Bryant Speegle and Nelda Ann Thompson Speegle. She owned Collins Catering and Benford’s Flowers for many years. Mrs. Benford was an avid reader and loved talking to people. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and playing a few slot machines along the way. Mrs. Benford loved her family, friends and church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie F. Benford; her daughter, Cheryl Lively; her son, Randall Benford; three sisters, Nelda Stojanik, Rena Mae Williamson and Donna Harris; and stepbrothers, Larry and Dennis Collins.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda Quinn and Renee Gannon; stepdaughters, Wanda Sorrelle and Mitzi Lewis; grandchildren, Darren Quinn, Amber Gilormo, Ryan Callahan, Danielle Middleton, Michael Benford, Crystal Allen, David Cook and Leslie Lewis; great-grandchildren, Luke, Vivian and Matthew Gilormo, Cheyenne and Allyson Allen, Faith Banks, and Taylynn Middleton; a sister, Dixie Roberts; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
