Toni DiFilippo

Toni DiFilippo, 91, of Buena Vista, GA, formerly of Crystal River, FL, died Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at Gentiva Hospice in Columbus, GA.

Mr. DiFilippo was born August 26, 1922, in Philadelphia, PA, to Albert and Antoinette DeMario DiFilippo. He was Catholic by faith and a member of Sons of Italy. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the US Army during World War II in the South Pacific Campaign. He worked as a musician and a teacher.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rena McCorkle DiFilippo, of Buena Vista, GA; a son, Tony and Renee DiFilippo, Jr.  of Jacksonville, FL; a daughter, Kim Robin Blankenship of Gainsville, FL; and by four grandchildren, Tony DiFilippo, III, Justin DiFilippo, Trenton DiFlippo, and Juliana DiFilippo.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home of Buena Vista, Georgia, was in charge of these arrangements.
