Virgil T. Howell

     ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mr. Virgil T. Howell, 62, died Tuesday evening, April 7, 2015 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held Friday, April 10, 2015 at 1:00PM at Ebenezer Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery. Rev. Mark Williams and Rev. Robert Orr will officiate.  The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. 

      Mr. Howell was born July 13, 1952 in Americus, GA to William and Edna Howell.  He was a truck driver having been employed by Triple A Modular Buildings and King’s Custom Builders where he also set up trailers.  Mr. Howell was a member and deacon at Ebenezer Baptist Church.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening and cookouts with his family.

      Survivors include his wife, Nancy Howell of Ellaville; two sons, Tommy Howell and wife Angie of Ellaville, Jimmy Yarbrough and wife Laura of Ellaville, GA; two daughters, Stacy Howell of Americus, GA, Lisa Yarbrough of Ellaville; one brother, Billy Howell and wife Lynn of Stockbridge GA.  Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Chad Yarbrough, Chase Cromer, Tommy Howell, III and wife Krystal, Dylan Yarbrough, Blake Howell, Megan Yarbrough, Amber Storey and one great grandchild, Kaleb Howell.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Howell was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Howell.

     Active pallbearers will include Russell Tyler, Chad Yarbrough, Chase Cromer, Tommy Howell, III, Dylan Yarbrough, and Blake Howell.  Honorary pallbearers will be Lamar Bailey, William James and the deacons of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
