Obituary

Mr. Wayne Barnhill, 84, of Ellaville, passed away on October 12, 2026. Memorial services will be held at Ebenezer Baptist Church on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 2:30PM with Bro. Troy Fripp officiating.

Mr. Barnhill was born in Crestview, FL on September 16, 1942, to Coleman C. and Myrtle Kent Barnhill. Upon graduating high school, he served in the United States Marine Corps. He then went on to an over 40 year career as a truck driver. Mr. Barnhill loved his German Shepherds. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clayton Barnhill.

He was the best daddy a girl could ever ask for, always there no matter the time or place. He always told me, “Baby doll, it’s us against the world.” One of the most stubborn men you could ever meet, he was also the world’s best daddy. He loved his children and grandchildren more than anything, along with his beloved FSU and going back home to the Gulf. His love, laughter, and memories will live in our hearts forever. - Christian
