William (Billy) Thomas Coker

     ELLAVILLE, GA --- Mr. William (Billy) Thomas Coker Jr., age 64,  of Oglethorpe, GA died Monday, December 12, 2016 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, GA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Rev. Jimmie Chapman and Rev. Mark Poole will officiate.

      Mr. Coker was born January 23, 1952 in Americus, GA to the late William Thomas Coker Sr. and Sara Wilson Coker. He worked in maintenance at Bluebird Corp. in Fort Valley, GA. He was a member of American Legion Post 191 in Ellaville and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He loved to camp, fish, work in the garden and cook. 

    Mr. Coker is survived by his wife Deborah Coker of Oglethorpe, GA; three sons, Ashley Coker and wife Tiffany of Reynolds, GA, Eric Lane of Andersonville, GA, Michael Thomas Coker of Tifton, GA; one daughter, Julie Feltman and husband Tracy of Chatsworth, GA; one sister, Barbara Banks and husband Leverette of Andersonville, GA; one brother in law, Berry H. Teele and wife, Janet of Ellaville. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Shelby Lane, Austin Coker, Aiden Coker, Madison Coker, Mikayla Feltman, Ashleigh Feltman, Tyler Feltman, Ryan Scott Thomas Coker and Zack Thomas Coker.

      Active pallbearers will include Eric Lane, Ashley Coker, Thomas Johnson, Stan Poole, Berry Teele and Oscar Harbuck.  Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

     Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville.  Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, c/o Sheila Jones, P. O. Box 180, Cobb, GA  31735.
