Willie Lea Triplett

Ms. Willie Lea “Willa” Triplett, 73 of Buena Vista, GA, formerly of Americus, GA, passed away April 8, 2026, at her residence. Services will be private.

Ms. Triplett was born March 16, 1953, in Boone, NC, to William Donald and Mary Alice Colvard Triplett. She was employed with Americus Bean Co. and Kings Restaurant before her retirement. Ms. Triplett enjoyed painting, drawing, and gardening. She also liked to craft and make wreaths. Ms. Triplett loved animals and listening to gospel songs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Thompson, and her brother, Billy Triplett.

She is survived by two sons, Christopher Allan Thompson and Danny Thompson (Nikki Rainey); and by a daughter, Christie Thompson (James Bridges); a sister, Martha Teague; eight grandchildren, Steven Austin Stubbs, Connor Dwight Allan Stubbs, Kaylee Thompson, Nathaniel Thompson, William Thompson, Landon Thompson, Dawson Rainey, and Caroline Thompson; and one great-grandchild on the way.

Services for the Triplett Family have been under the care and direction of Way-Watson Funeral Home.
