Wilma Whitley

BUENA VISTA, GA --- Wilma Millirons Whitley, 89, of Buena Vista, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at Magnolia Manor of Marion County.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Mauk Baptist Church with Reverend Lorne Whitley officiating. Burial will follow the service at Mauk Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers are Joel Brazier, Tom McCants, Bruce Davis, Jason Wicker, Michael Rigsby, and Wade Denney. The family will receive friends at Watson-Tante Funeral Home on Friday, March 13, 2015, from 6-8pm.       

Mrs. Whitley was born August 6, 1925, in Taylor County, Georgia, to Walter and Grace Jones Millirons. Baptist by faith, she was a member of Mauk Baptist Church. She loved sewing and fishing anywhere they were biting.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold Whitley, two sons, Ronnie Whitley and Arnold Whitley, by a brother, Royce Millirons, a sister, Ponie Brown, and two grandchildren.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Elaine Whitley of Buena Vista, GA; by a daughter-in-law, Hope Whitley of Buena Vista, GA; three sisters, Ouida Anthony, Lily Daniel, and Loy Hammond; seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Watson-Tante Funeral Home in Buena Vista, Georgia, is in charge of these arrangements.
