Alan Watson

Mr. Alan Lee Watson, 55, of Apopka, FL, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, September 18, 2021.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Friday, September 24, 2021 at Liberty Lighthouse Church of God in Mount Dora, FL.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service in the church. A graveside service will be held at 2:30PM Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Suncrest Memorial Gardens in Moultrie, GA.

Mr. Watson was born on May 2, 1966 to Daniel Watson and Wilma Byrd Watson.  He enjoyed gospel music, watching wrestling, four-wheeling, and going out to eat (especially dessert). He will be sadly missed by friends, loved ones and co-workers.  Mr. Watson worked at Sangamon for years and then was a driver for Watkins Motor Lines/Fed-Ex Freight for over 20 years.  Mr. Watson was a faithful member of the Church of God in Cleveland, TN for most of his life.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-child, Bradley Matter.

He is survived by wife, Lisa Ann Watson; daughter, Breanna Watson; step-daughter, Amy Matter, two step-granddaughters, Chelsea Ross, Mercedes Matter; three step-grandsons, Ryan Matter, Jacob Matter, Ian Matter; and three step-greatgrandchildren.  Also surviving are sibling, LW Watson; uncle, LaVoy Byrd; aunt Lee Byrd and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Way-Watson Funeral Home of Ellaville, GA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
