Carlos Lewis

Mr. Carlos Franklin Lewis, 60, of Columbus, GA, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Piedmont Medical Northside in Columbus, GA.  A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Buena Vista Cemetery in Buena Vista, GA, with Rev. Rick Lipp officiating.

Mr. Lewis was born in Moultrie, GA, on January 7, 1961, to James F. Lewis, Jr. and Ruby Harrison Lewis. He was employed with Stephenson Hauling as a truck driver. Mr. Lewis enjoyed riding motorcycles with his brothers and starting various projects. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Danny Lewis.

He is survived by his wife, Gwen Lewis of Columbus, GA; by two daughters, Jessica and John Wayne Navalta of Kingsport, TN, and Amanda and Ronald Brickey of Jonesborough, TN; by his mother, Ruby Lewis of Buena Vista, GA; by two brothers, Jimmy R. and Veronica Lewis and Ricky R. and Mary Lewis all of Buena Vista, GA; by a sister-in-law, Anita Lewis of Buena Vista, GA; six grandchildren, one nephew, two nieces and several great nieces and nephews.
