Deborah Ann Benton

Mrs. Deborah Ann Morgan Benton, 68, of Cusseta, GA, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020, at her residence. Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020 at 10:00 AM in Harmony (Upper) Cemetery in Cusseta, GA with Rev. Lee Halvorson officiating. 

Mrs. Benton was born November 5, 1951 in Springville, AL to Logan Morgan and Rosa Lipsey Morgan. She was owner/operator of Country Cookin’ and also worked at Coleman’s Grocery. Deborah loved people and was a social butterfly. She was always laughing and smiling. Deborah loved all music, but especially Elvis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ed Brown, Enoch Brown, and Charlie Brown. 

She is survived by her husband, Gary Benton of Cusseta, GA; by six children, Guy Monkus (Cindy) of Parrott, GA, Debi Cheng (Stephen) of Southern Pines, NC, Daniel Monkus (Tammy) of Cusseta, GA, Shane Exline (Kathy), India Sizemore (Michael) and Audra Brown, all of Cusseta, GA; thirteen grandchildren, John Fisher (Danielle), Justin Fisher, Trey Monkus, Abby  Cheng, Katy Cheng, William Cheng, Waylon Pollock, Zach Monkus, Kane Exline, Scarlett Sizemore, Kayla Welker, Krista Welker, and Skotty Beaver; three great-grandchildren, Cecelia Jolene Fisher, Lily Pollock, and Waylon Pollock, Jr.; three brothers, Verner Brown (Audrey) of Destin, FL, Coley Morgan (Maria) of Cusseta, GA, and Chris Morgan (Kay) of Buena Vista, GA; a sister, Georgia B. Standridge of Columbus, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
