Elton Jones

Mr. Lewis Elton Jones, 83, of Ellaville passed away at his residence on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Graveside services will be held at County Line Baptist Church Cemetery on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Mark Poole and Rev. Johnny Brooks officiating. The family will greet friends at Way-Watson Funeral Home in Ellaville on Thursday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 PM.

Mr. Jones was born July 11, 1938 to the late Lewis Daniel and Vernice James Jones. He was a member of County Line Baptist Church. Mr. Jones was retired from the GA DOT as an area supervisor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Jones, a son-in-law, James Edmonson, and a sister-in-law, Bobbye Barrett.

Survivors include his daughter, Melody Jones Edmonson of Ellaville; his son, Dan Jones and his wife, Traci of Ellaville; a brother, Melvin Jones and his wife, Sheila of Cobb, GA; a brother-in-law, Edward Barrett of Cobb, GA; four grandchildren, Mallory Inhulsen, Ashleigh Mitchell (Ryan), Stephen Inhulsen (Megan), and Abel Jones; three great-grandchildren, Joshua Shell, Charleigh Ann Mitchell, and Liam Inhulsen; and several nieces and nephews.
