ELLAVILLE, GA – Mrs. Fay Veasey Snider, 75, of Smiths Station, AL passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021, in Columbus, GA.  A private family graveside will be held in Ellaville City Cemetery.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Sapp, Jay Grimes, Caleb Snider, Jacob Sapp, and Joshua Judy.

Mrs. Snider was born on December 28, 1945 in Tampa, FL, to John Tranum and Cuvie Mills Veasey of Phenix City, AL. She was raised in Phenix City, AL, and graduated from Central High School. She was a Baptist by faith. Mrs. Snider was a homemaker and a selfless wife and mother. She retired from the Phenix City School System. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years on August 26, 2021, Charles Maynard Snider, and her brother.

She leaves behind two daughters, Lorie Sapp (Jason) of West Columbia, SC, and Sheri Snider (Jay Grimes) of Pine Mountain, GA; five grandchildren, Katie Judy, Caleb Snider, Lindsey Sapp, Jacob Sapp, and Joshua Judy; and a sister, Virginia Windham (Terry) of Phenix City, AL. She had several nieces, great nieces, and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice. 

Way-Watson Funeral Home of Ellaville, GA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
